Hi Everybody! We've been working hard over here, not only hosting markets, but always planning for the future, and we've got a few exciting things to talk about before I give you this weeks vendor list (or just scroll down if that's all you need).
Silverstar Wine Festival is next weekend, Saturday Aug 13, and will feature Andrew Allen as well as a wide variety of local vintners to sample, and vendors from your favourite night market! More details here.
Extended season to be announced. We've got 2, possibly 3 markets on the horizon after our season was set to end. We missed one market due to a thunderstorm in June, and the city has offered us a date onto the end of our market season to make up for it, so Sept 9th.
Culture Days! We get to partner up with the Vernon Arts Council to host our vendors during Culture Days on Sept 23 when they take over Polson Park. They're honestly putting together an event that might even be better than what we hosted for Canada Day, and I'm excited we get to be part of it! This is a Canada-wide event hosted by champions in the community, more details here.
Last but not least, lets see whos still reading... With the kind sponsorship of Tourism Vernon and the Vancouver Foundation's Small Neighbourhood Grants (as applied for on behalf of the Vernon Museum & Archives and the Polson Artisan Night Market), we've raised enough money to host a movie in Polson Park on Sept 2. Looks like it's going to be Jurassic World: Dominion. Details are still being ironed out, but it should start after the market, at about 7:30 on Sept 2, Labour Day long weekend, in front of the bandshell.
