A Holiday Market With Heart: Local Non-Profits Power Community-Focused Celebration This Weekend

This weekend, the Polson Artisan Market presents its largest and most community-driven event of the year, bringing together more than 100 local makers, bakers, growers, and upcyclers for a three-day holiday celebration—with no imported or resold goods. Running November 28–30, the event blends festive shopping, music, culture, and hands-on community involvement from several local non-profits working together to spread joy this season.

A cornerstone of this year’s event is its deep collaboration with local organizations dedicated to supporting and uplifting the community:

  • Awaken Outdoor School will welcome guests at the door and operate the coat check, helping set the tone of warmth and connection.

  • Local Boy Scouts will bring delight to young visitors by operating the beloved inflatable Snow Globe Igloo play space.

  • Cycle Without Age will offer indoor sleigh rides on their iconic trishaw bikes—an extension of their work providing mobility and companionship for local seniors.

  • Vernon Pride Society will be on-site celebrating community, inclusion, and winter festivities with attendees.

Alongside these partnerships, the market features a vibrant lineup of musical and cultural performances, including the Seaton Show Choir, Sidney Bos, Marv Machura, and DJ Holly & Jolly. Roving costumed performers—such as Frost the Winter Elf and Flapwick the Gnome—will bring whimsy and winter magic to the experience.

Food lovers will find plenty to enjoy as well: Tasty Tacos & Taters will be serving throughout the event, while Boa Vida joins on Saturday and Sunday with specialty coffee and espresso.

“This event has grown into a true community celebration,” said Polson Artisan Market founder Mayla Janzen. “By partnering with local non-profit organizations, we’re able to create not just a market, but a meaningful shared experience—supporting artisans, uplifting community groups, and offering something special for everyone.”
