Oh man, the end of the season is coming, and we only have a few amazing events left! Tonite's is a favourite, and its our 4th year hosting the Dog Market (not saying we nail the names everytime, but it's succinct).
We've got two events for you to participate in (they'll have participation awards), and a couple special guests, not to mention whatever special things the vendors come up with!
So at 6 we're hosting a dog fashion show, if you like dressing your dog up this one is for you, they finally get a chance to hit the stage and you'll get a few bucks to spend at the market for joining us. Our second event is at 630, we're hosting a mighty minis race, just for our wee friends to come see whos the fastest short-legged friend in the park... if you want to participate you need 2 humans per dog (front and back of race) and they should be reliable at returning to their owner - cause otherwise this turns into a human race, not a mighty mini race...
Our two special guests are Paw Print Method, coming down to do training demos, they join us each year and used to be a regular face at the market... so if you've been wanting to chat with them, they'll be there tonite! The second is the Association of BC Harness Dog Sports, also coming down to do a demo and talk about bikejoring and canicross sports. I considered skijoring with my Malinois, so I'm excited to chat with these folks :)
As always, we couldn't do any of this without our vendors, and I think we've all been having a tough year with the local economy, so now more than ever it matters where you buy things like gifts, home wares, and art... keep the money in our community by spending it at the market.
Upcoming Events:
Tomorrow is Lillyfest in Coldstream at Creekside park, from 3 to 9, and featuring a bunch of great bands including Miina (we did them for Polson Park Palooza a couple years ago).
Next week is the Movie in the park, based on the online vote, we're doing George of the Jungle. Market starts at 4, movie at 730.
Sept 11 is our last regular market of the year, and we've got some special surprises coming... stay tuned!
Sept 18/19 is the Sundog Festival... you won't want to miss it! Back in Polson Park this year too!
