Why The Princess Bride? Because it has everything: fencing, fighting, giants, true love, revenge, miracles… and, of course, quicksand. (Let’s be honest — an entire generation grew up terrified of quicksand thanks to this movie. 🙃) Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, the mix of adventure, comedy, and heart never gets old.
This Friday night, Civic Memorial Park transforms into an outdoor cinema for one of the most beloved films of all time: The Princess Bride! Before the movie begins, enjoy a lively market with local vendors and food trucks — the perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. Then, as the sun sets, get cozy under the stars as the big screen lights up around 7:40 PM.
