First 'Fri-yay' of the season!
We've had a couple little events so far this year, but we've finally made it to the beginning of the summer market season! We're starting with bang too with almost 60 vendors.
Last year we started this whole thing on July 2nd, with 28 vendors, and have grown and seen so much in that time. We've created a little community of artists and makers, and gotten great support from Vernon and folks in surrounding communities which allowed this all to happen. This year our focus will continue to be on supporting local makers, musicians and food. In addition we'll be adding community engagement nights roughly every 2 weeks, with special features including special music nights, activities in the park, celebrations of local harvests, guest presenters/teachers, and a ruckus physical couples competition... I'm also working on securing sponsorship for a movie in the park night to happen after the market finishes.
